Born in Chelmsford, Essex 26th July 1984 and brought up most of his life in Peterborough. This is where Alan Thomas was educated and first introduced to the world of photography.
He studied Art, English and Photography A-level which helped him gain an artistic eye.
He began with a huge love for black and white film photography, mainly taking pictures of urban streets and architecture getting a feel for shapes and compositions.
In 2005 he started a BA (Hons) Photography & Digital Imaging course in London. This carried on his love for black and white film photography but also introduced him to digital photography.
Still enjoying his photography for aesthetics or conceptual reasons he assisted a popular fashion photographer, and working for them gave him a feel for working alongside a team, portrait photography, and fashion photography.
Since then he has worked hard to gain as many clients as possible in order to build his portfolio and improve his technique.

Currently Alan is working with a website taking images of festivals, events and musicians while also doing freelance work such as editorial, fashion and portraits.
